To make it easier for students to know how to access care at the Engemann Student Health Center, this guide shows you what to do depending on if you need primary care, acute care, or are experiencing an emergency.
Accessing Our Services

For routine medical care where appointments can be made in advance. The focus is to identify and treat most common medical illnesses and injuries. Your medical issues are assessed and referrals to medical specialists are made when necessary.
Students can be referred to a specialist by an Engemann Student Health Center primary care physician. Our specialized services include the allergy clinic, chiropractic, dermatology and nutrition services. See the Specialty Care and Services section for a full list.
For urgent, but not life-threatening, medical concerns, please come to the Acute Care Clinic on the first floor of the health center. Each patient that checks in will be evaluated and seen based on their medical condition and urgency.
The Engemann Student Health Center does not have an Emergency Room, please call for an ambulance or paramedic assistance right away. Be prepared to identify your location and situation. Please call 9-1-1 for an emergency.

Our facility is fully accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc., staffed by licensed and/or board-certified physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, a dietitian and nurses who will address your needs in a compassionate and confidential manner.
