Most patients can have their needs met with our Primary Care services, but sometimes there is a specialized need. Medical Specialists are available; however, in order to make sure you are referred to the right one, most services require a Primary Care appointment first. Our Specialized Care and Services are there to help with questions or resolve concerns that may arise during a health care visit.
Acupuncture is among the oldest therapeutic treatment in the world. Acupuncture originated in China about 5,000 years ago with the belief that stimulation the body’s energy can assist with its healing. A common therapeutic technique is the use of thin metal needles under the skin which helps with nerves, muscles and connective tissue stimulation. Alone or in conjunction with the other medical resources there are many benefits to acupuncture including pain management. Our program collaborates with Dongguk University, Los Angeles, to provide this acupuncture service.
New locations, changing seasons and exercise regimens can increase symptoms for allergy and asthma sufferers. Our clinic will help treat your symptoms, by providing a medical evaluation and assisting with medication refills, or treatment regimens. Center for Women and Men
Sexual assault resource center and gender based harm are just a few of the services students can receive here. The Center for Women and Men promotes healthy relationships, teaches non-violence and equality, and helps survivors on their journey toward healing.
Back pain, neck pain and headaches are common neuromusculoskeletal complaints that can be treated with our Chiropractic services. Our Chiropractors take the time to examine your specific needs, provide a diagnosis and treatment recommendations. Common treatments include skilled manipulations or chiropractic adjustments. Our program collaborates with Southern California University of Health Sciences to provide this chiropractic service.

Located conveniently on the fourth floor of the Engemann Student Health Center, the Faculty Practice functions just like your home dentist. Our faculty and staff practitioners offer a wide range of regular-cost general and specialty services, which in some cases can be paid for with Delta Dental PPO; Delta Dental Premier, CIGNA Dental PPO, CareCredit, cash, checks or credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover). The Faculty Practice also offers extended hours for many services, and is open on selected Saturdays. Don’t put off dental appointments until you go home for the holidays. A healthy campus begins with you. The health of the individual can affect the health of the campus community. The Immunization Clinic is a walk-in clinic that administers vaccinations as a simple, safe, and effective way to prevent many diseases from spreading.

Occupational Health Services supports a safe and healthful workplace. We protect faculty and staff at work by developing and implementing programs for prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of occupational illnesses and injuries. Lifestyle Redesign® services provided by the Occupational Therapy Faculty Practice help you build and follow a customized lifestyle plan that supports healthier living and better management of chronic conditions or diseases such as obesity, diabetes, arthritis, stress, or pain.
Our goal is to keep you mobile and moving! Specializing in bone, joint, spine and muscle care we evaluate and treat a variety of orthopedic conditions and injuries. We strive to improve your quality of life by helping you return to your normal activities as quickly and safely as possible.
We have a strong collaborative relationship with the USC Pharmacy. They offer walk-in patient care services such as flu shots, emergency contraception and screening for diabetes, cholesterol, hypertension, and osteoporosis. Owned and operated by the USC School of Pharmacy, they are our partners in building a healthy campus community. We recommend that you fill your prescriptions at the USC Pharmacy.
Physical Therapy provided by faculty of the Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy. Our physical therapists use progressive techniques and the latest scientific information to provide you with effective goal-oriented care emphasizing optimal function.
Sexual and Reproductive Health Services
Issues relative to sexual and reproductive health are common at any age, but especially among college aged men and women. The student health center staff strives to be sensitive to the issues of those who may be sexually active with the opposite sex, same sex or both as well as for those students who are not or have not been sexually active.
Planning a trip abroad? Make us your first stop. Some trips have had to be cancelled because vaccine requirements couldn’t be met within a required time frame.
