Clinicians at the counseling center are here to support, consult with, and help educate faculty and staff members who are working with distressed students typically struggling with developmental or psychological matters.
Individual Consultations: For a consultation with one of our staff, please call our center and ask for the triage counselor at (213) 740-7711. In the case of urgency, please let us know this when you call us. If you need immediate assistance that involves a distressed student experiencing an acute crisis, please call our main number (213) 740-7711 and ask to speak to a crisis counselor. In addition, if this involves personal matters pertaining to a faculty and staff member please call the Center for Work and Family Life at (213) 821-0800.
Group or Staff Training: Our staff is also available to provide workshops on how to communicate and interact with students, recognize the signs of a distressed student and how to intervene, address developmental and adjustment issues, and/or an overview of our clinical services.
